With the release notes, we document all changes to Skilltree and assign them a unique version. Not only do we want to let you know about new features and improvements, but we also want to keep you informed about our development process, encourage transparency among companies, and provide you with the greatest user experience possible.
We structure the changes in Skilltree into two categories:
- 💎 New features: Here you will find all the new features that are available in Skilltree with the corresponding release.
- 🐞 Bug fixes and improvements: All bugs fixed in this version are listed here. You will also find minor improvements here, but these do not represent any new functionality.
Versioning
In software versioning, unique version numbers are assigned to unique states of a software. Within a certain category (e.g. major or minor), these numbers are assigned in ascending order and correspond to new developments in the software.

In Skilltree, version numbers are assigned according to the above scheme. Major versions are reserved for major innovations or major redesigns of the software, which by definition only occur very rarely. Minor versions refer to new functions with which we continuously improve Skilltree for you. Patch versions, on the other hand, are usually reserved for fixing problems or bugs in the software, as well as minor improvements to existing functionalities.
According to this scheme, we will document all changes to Skilltree here, in the release notes.
Links & Help Center
Within the release notes, we usually describe a new feature in just one short sentence. This makes it possible to quickly get a rough overview of all changes without having to go too deeply into the respective features.
A more detailed documentation of each feature can be found in the Help Centre itself. We refer in the short description with the following note and the corresponding link to the further articles.
You can find a detailed description of the feature under...
